Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Sales Planning for Norway’s largest producer, distributor, and exporter of dairy products.
TINE SA is Norway’s largest producer, distributor and exporter of dairy products. TINE is a household brand in a Norwegian context with a history dating back more than 160 years — it is a brand most Norwegians have a lifetime relationship to. Today, the company has about 1 300 products in their portfolio, produced at 31 dairies spread across Norway. Even though TINE’s primary market is Norway, its reach goes way beyond national borders. The majority of their international activity is in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Sweden and the UK.
Why TINE chose Anaplan
For TINE, Anaplan was the most suitable tool to make the shift from traditional budgeting towards a more dynamic approach based on rolling forecasts and scenario planning. The deciding factor for TINE was Anaplan’s agility and the platform’s adaptability to suit their own requirements.
How Bluesprint assisted
Our Connected Planning journey with TINE began in August 2019, when we started implementation of a solution for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). Along the way, TINE also saw the need for a new system for their sales planning, and Anaplan became the natural choice. Hence, a sales model was also developed and is in use today.
How TINE uses Anaplan
Currently, the FP&A solution consists of four use cases — a use case for each of the main business areas:
- A centralized Data Hub
Each use case is represented by a separate model, which gives the business areas flexibility to tailor planning and analysis to meet their needs. The output from each model is aggregated in the Administration Model, which susequently provides the complete picture of TINE.
“As a planning consultant at Bluesprint, I’m very pleased to be part of TINE’s connected planning journey. TINE is a company with a rich history and a strong presence in Norwegian society at large. To have the opportunity to support them in their planning transformation is very rewarding.”
